Packaged or central units are one of the most commonly used systems in homes and businesses. They integrate the four components of the basic cooling circuit into a single cabinet: compressor, evaporator, condenser and expansion element.
Perform a preventative cleaning with the following four steps:
1. Blocks the electrical system, identifies the type of current and purges the energy still held by the capacitors.
2. Install the pressure gauges and determine the pressure (first low and then high) and the type of refrigerant used by the equipment.
3. After dismantling the unit, clean the coils, using the pressure washer and cleaning agents.
4. Inspect the lubrication of motors, blades and compressors, and check the electrical and electronic installation of the system to rule out false contacts or cables in poor condition.
NOTE!
When starting the unit and measuring the amps of the compressor, as well as the evaporator and condenser motors, make sure the multimeter reading matches the labels on the equipment.
